Job Summary - Pre Sales Engineer

As an Odoo Sales Engineer, you will serve as a key technical advisor and product advocate, responsible for understanding and articulating the technical features and benefits of the Odoo ERP system to potential clients

Your role involves working in tandem with the sales team to drive home the technical sale of Odoo solutions.

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support during pre-sales discussions.
  2. Conduct in-depth demonstrations of Odoo's applications tailored to prospects' business processes.
  3. Engage with potential clients to understand their business needs and demonstrate how Odoo's suite of applications can provide value..
  4. Liaise between the customer and Odoo's technical teams to ensure that customer requirements are accurately captured and met.
  5. Address any technical questions or concerns that arise during the sales process.
  6. Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  7. Convey customer feedback to the product development team regarding potential product enhancements or new products..
  8. Keep up-to-date on Odoo product releases and updates, as well as general ERP industry trends.
  9. Help clients understand the best mix of Odoo applications and configure them according to their needs.
  10. Provide post-sales support when necessary to ensure the customer's technical requirements are met.
  11. Odoo Customization: Work with the technical team to tailor Odoo solutions to fit customer requirements.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Representative.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Odoo or similar platforms.
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships at various levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualize workflow solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
  • Understanding of business processes across various industries
  • Familiarity with database management, especially PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales cycles in the software industry.


Certification in Odoo or other ERP systems is highly advantageous.


A minimum of 3-5 years in a technical sales role, preferably with ERP or SaaS products.
